Visit Diaolou Fortress Towers in Kaiping, China. Used to keep the enemy and thieves away. Great views from the top floor. This village is fully functional with fields for growing rice and facilities for raising livestock and chickens. It is one of aproximately 1800 Diaolou tall towers still standing out of approximately 3000 built.
