Argentine wines have been making a buzz on the international market. Argentine vineyards in Mendoza, and other regions, have the ideal temperature, climate and soil to grow world class wines. The most famous vineyards are located beneath the Andes, they produce excellent red wine thanks to dry climate and rich soil.

"Argentina has some of the best wines in the world because it has different types of soil. For example, Mendoza produces some of the best wines, also San Juan, this is why we have 'Syrah' of San Juan and the Cabernet and Malbec of Mandoza and the Pinot of the South. Only few years ago, most of Argentine produced wines were consumed locally."

Recent years, with massive investment and the further opening of the Argentine economy, production standards have been increased to match the world's best wines. "Could you tell me a little about a good Malbec wine?" "OK, for example, we have the D.V. Catena, which is one of the best Malbecs from Mendoza - this is the Malbec. Malbec which is like a Cabernet in that it can be accompanied with beef."

"Could you tell me the prices?" "The Malbec is 85 pesos, Syrah is 60 pesos, and the Chardonnay is about 60 pesos." I am Ande Wanderer, showing you Buenos Aires. Salute!
