In the nieghborhood of Raytito, just steps away from Porta Maraydo, you can find this resturant Filo. Opened in 1994, it was one of the first resturants in Buenos Aires to offer authentic Italian cusine. "The name Filo was chosen by one of the founders. It was accepted because in Venice "Filo" means to rest from work. So, what are we doing tonight? Let's go to Maria's to do "Filo", let's go to Jose's to do "Filo"."

The decorations are influenced by famous modern artist. "The are shown in Filo is very good. It is what makes the place what it is. Informal, but also elegant." "We wanted to do something different, we wanted to cook not only Italian food but Venetian Italian food. We are Italians from Venice, and we have tried to trasmit this philosophy."

Its specialities are pizzas from a wood burning oven and pastas. This pizza just came out of the oven and it is called Lyksotika. We have a cheese and tomatoe base. Yellow, red and green pepper as well as heart of tong. This dish is called pasta la boozara and it has shrimp, a tomatoe and parsley sauce and it is delicious spegetti.

"I am very conservative, I love pastas. And here the pastas are the specialty of the house. The prices are very reasonable for downtown and the service is great." Because this is Argentina no resturant would be complete without a beef plate. However, in Filo the beef is cooked in the European style. The beef is completed in a pan and the potatoes are boiled in milk before being mashed.

Filo's opens from noon until the last person leaves late at night. Pizza and pinaenae are always available. "We are chosen by people who work in downtown for lunch as well as tourists. I will say goodbye to you with a drink called a "spritz" which is from the North of Italy. It has white wine, flavoring and soda water. Cheers! To good times." I am Veronica De Aboitiz, showing you Buenos Aires.
