A Specialised Container Transport (SCT) freight train service from Perth to Melbourne is well ahead of schedule with less than 30 minutes to go before it reaches its final destination of Laverton, on the outskirts of Melbourne. No doubt the impressive quad "SCT class" locomotive combination offering a combined total of over 17000hp has helped the train keep good speed all night. At 4:50am on 30/9/2010 the train is filmed passing through a country railway level crossing near Lara (Victoria). Amazingly the flashing lights, bells, and boom gates are still not enough to prevent some drivers from foolishly proceeding through level crossings when trains approach! .
