Specialised Container Transport (SCT) service MP9 from Melbourne to Perth via Adelaide with three SCT class locomotives (SCT015, SCT003 & SCT010) has passed through Gheringhap loop and now accelerates back to mainline running speed.

The sucess of the SCT class locomotives has lead to a number of similar locomotives including the LDP, TT and WH class locomotives entering service with other operators. .
