Jodhpur, the 'Blue City' is one of the most amazing spots in India. While the city overall is a dusty and noisy shithole, the old quarter is an amazing, calm and magical spot. Towering above it is the Jodhpur Fort, a.k.a. Mehrangarh Fort, the largest and possibly the awesomest fort in all of India.
Maintained in phenomenal condition, full of amazing stuff, and kitted out with one of the BEST audio tours I have ever heard, this fort is a must-do even if your mom has cancer and you need to fly home. Seriously. Amazing.
