Betty Amsden’s philosophy is that everyone is creative at heart and the arts should be for us all to enjoy. The Betty Amsden Participation Program brings this philosophy to life by exploring and encouraging cultural democracy and bringing out the artist in all of us.  The idea for the Program began at the launch of Raising the Roof in 2012, when the newly reopened Hamer Hall was transformed in a grand scale celebration of our community, its diversity and of course, live performance.
