Nonionic Polyacrylamide (NPAM) is a type of water-soluble, high-molecular-weight polymer. Unlike its anionic or cationic counterparts, NPAM has very few charged groups along its polymer chain. Instead, its molecular structure is predominantly neutral. This seemingly simple difference has a profound impact: nonionic polyacrylamide interacts with suspended particles, colloids, and organic matter through mechanisms distinct from charge-driven flocculation.
